Ulteig Opens Cedar Rapids Office

Ulteig, a multidiscipline engineering firm, has expanded into Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The new location is in addition to the company’s existing offices in Bismarck, Grand Forks and Fargo, N.D.; Detroit Lakes and Minneapolis, Minn.; Denver, Colo.; and Sioux Falls, S.D.

For more than 20 years, Ulteig has served energy clients in Iowa including ITC Midwest, Central Iowa Power Cooperative, and Alliant Energy on electrical infrastructure improvement and expansion projects as well as integrating renewable energy into the electric grid. The Cedar Rapids office provides a local connection to continue to serve these energy clients and expand the business into the company’s Building Services, Civil, and Land Services sectors.

The office space is approximately 2,500 square feet and is located in the Martin Building in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue in downtown Cedar Rapids. Ulteig employees Marlon Vogt, PE, Transmission and Distribution; Sarah Pink, PE, Substation; Jay Johnson, PLS, Surveying and John Hunter, Protection and Controls compose the Cedar Rapids team.
