Ulteig Hires Aviation Expert Mike Corcoran

Ulteig has hired Mike Corcoran as an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Systems Program Manager.
In this role Corcoran will provide expertise in managing remote sensing programs within the aviation industry including Unmanned Aircraft System development, FAA Next Generation airspace systems, and airfield infrastructure support functions. He will develop technology and implement flight applications that will deliver remotely-piloted systems safely into military, civil and law enforcement mission areas.
Corcoran’s extensive aviation experience includes his most-recent role as Director of Air Operations for the Department of Homeland Security’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations Center – North Dakota (Predator-B UAS). Corcoran has previously served as an Operational Test and Evaluation Pilot and Test Team Director for various aircraft and mission pilot for U.S Customs. In addition Corcoran is a Certified Information System Security Professional and has experience as an Imagery Analyst and Intelligence Officer through work with the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and Department of Defense. Corcoran holds ratings as a FAA Airline Transport Pilot and is a military Pilot in Command of UH60 Blackhawk and RC12N Guardrail aircraft.
Corcoran received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Studies from St. Cloud State University where he was a Distinguished Military Graduate and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in project management / aviation management. Corcoran has completed Combined Arms Service Staff School, Ft. Leavenworth, KS; Officer Advance Course, U.S. Army Intelligence Center; and was a Commandant’s List Graduate from the U.S. Army Aviation Center, Officer Basic Course.
He will work in Ulteig’s new Grand Forks, N.D. office.
