Ulteig Hires Senior Water Resources Expert Bookmark and Share

Ulteig has hired Bob Barth as an Associate Vice President for the company’s Water Resources team. Barth’s experience spans numerous water management and water quality projects across Minnesota as well as project management and business development activities. Barth has served as project manager on surface water management plans for a diverse group of Minnesota communities including Woodbury, Medina, Maple Plain, New Prague, Mendota Heights, West St. Paul, Crystal, and Oak Park Heights.

Barth’s water resource experience includes:
  • Stormwater Compliance: Barth has prepared non-degradation submittals for several Minnesota cities and has assisted other cities in making submittals related to waters with restricted or prohibited discharges. Barth has assisted cities with all aspects of their municipal permit requirements.

  • Urban Flood Studies and Flood Mitigation: Barth has assisted cities including Minneapolis, Woodbury, and Columbia Heights in planning and implementing infrastructure improvements to reduce urban flooding risk.

  • Water Quality: Barth has assisted municipalities in preparing large and small scale water quality models and analyses for the purposes of managing and mitigating impacts due to urbanization.
For his previous employer, Barth served as a client representative or business development manager for the Minnesota communities of Minneapolis, St. Paul, Mendota Heights, Prior Lake, Bemidji and Columbia Heights. A leader of sustainability initiatives, he takes pride in being a technical mentor to other engineers.

Barth will work in Ulteig’s Minneapolis office.
