Jason Hoskins Named as Ulteig Energy Sector Leader Bookmark and Share

Ulteig has named Jason Hoskins Senior Vice President in charge of Ulteig’s Energy Sector. As Energy Sector Leader, Hoskins is responsible for nurturing, growing and managing the company’s Energy business nationwide which includes transmission and distribution design, planning and permitting, communications, power generation (including renewable energy), protection and control design and substation design.

Hoskins worked as a Substation Design Engineer at Alliant Energy before joining Ulteig in 1999 as a Design Engineer in the Substation Market. In the Substation Market he advanced to the position of Team Leader before being asked to assume the role of Transmission Department Manager in Minneapolis in 2005. He was then named Ulteig Vice President of Transmission, Distribution, and Communications before his current promotion to Senior Vice President and Energy Sector Leader.

“Jason’s expertise in high-voltage electrical substation projects and transmission line projects combined with his experience working inside an electrical utility give him a comprehensive view of the industry from the perspective of both a client and a consultant,” said Brian Long, Ulteig Chief Development Officer. “He is the right person to continue growing Ulteig’s Energy business.”

Hoskins received his bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University in 1993. He is a registered Professional Engineer in North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and New Mexico and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and National Association of Corporate Directors.
