On May 12, 2009 Ulteig held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house reception for the company’s new corporate headquarters building in Fargo. Approximately 200 guests attended the event, including Chamber of Commerce of Fargo Moorhead Ambassadors, Ulteig business partners, clients, and employees.

Ulteig President and CEO Gerry Floden and President-elect Eric Michel spoke about the company’s history and its vision for the future. Galen Schroeder, Lead Ambassador from the Chamber, spoke about the company’s impact in the area and then welcomed nine Ulteig executives to cut the ribbon and officially open the facility.

The company also hosted members of the Ulteig family. John Ulteig and his son Eric Ulteig traveled from Texas for the event. John's father Mel started the company in 1944.

The new headquarters building is located within the Urban Plains development. It has 40,000 total available square feet and was completed in October 2007. The location houses Ulteig’s Corporate team (Accounting, Human Resources, IT, Legal, and Marketing) and members of the company’s Renewable Energy team.
