Ulteig Hires Assistant General Counsel Martha Velasco Suarez

Ulteig has hired Martha Velasco Suarez as an Assistant General Counsel at the company’s Corporate Headquarters in Fargo.
Velasco Suarez has over eight years of experience, most notably with Baker Botts, LLP where she represented clients in employment, international arbitration, securities, discrimination, and government matters, conducted investigations of employees and executives, and counseled employers on employment-related questions. Prior to that she was Manager of Tax and Legal Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal where she co-managed the only foreign-run legal practice in the country of Laos, and served as legal consultant to the Asian Development Bank project to reform Laos’ financial sector. Martha is proficient in Spanish.
Martha is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Mayville State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Accounting. She is also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Baylor University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree and served as a Managing Editor of Baylor Law Review, graduating in the top 2% of her law school class.
