Ulteig Engineers provided civil, electrical, and fire protection engineering services for the new 4-story upper classmen dormitory. The project consisted of new single bedroom living units and four bedroom apartment style living units.

Electrical engineering services included design of the lighting system and controls, a building power distribution system, an emergency generator system for life safety systems and basic building functions, a fire alarm system, data, telephone and television cabling and infrastructure, outside plant copper, fiber optic and telephone cable duct system and cabling, and an access control system.

Fire Protection services included engineering an automatic sprinkler protection and hose standpipes for this four story residence hall and classroom facility. Avoided need for costly fire booster pump through water supply testing and analysis and coordination with civil engineer. Minimized aesthetic intrusion of system floor controls.
