St. Peters Catholic Church in Delano has been around for centuries. Its enormous 157 foot tall steeple was originally built in 1911 and essentially became a historic landmark. Over time, the steeple slowly deteriorated, eventually needing replacement. Trying to preserve the historic significance and architectural style, the church decided to renovate it. St. Peters Catholic Church hired Ulteig Engineers to conduct a conditions assessment and develop construction documents for the renovation process. Renovations included removing the top 40 feet of the steeple, rebuilding the mid section framing, and replacing the top section. The lower section of the steeple, which consisted of multi-wyth brick walls was tuck-pointed.
