Basin Electric Power Cooperative selected Ulteig Engineers to complete a conventional ground survey for a 75-mile electrical transmission line in eastern Wyoming near Gillette. Data from the ground survey was use to develop a plan and profile of the proposed route. Ulteig utilized the high-accuracy control network established by Basin's staff for the project control.
We also performed the cadastral surveying required for right-of-way purposes and for creating the parcel and access plats. Ulteig also drafted the legal descriptions necessary for easement negotiations with the landowners. As part of the cadastral survey, all public land system corners needed for parcel descriptions were recovered or re-established. The field survey was conducted using geodetic grade GPS receivers and conventional electronic theodolites.

Following completion of the design (by the owner) and bidding of the project for construction, Ulteig Engineers was hired by the contractor to complete the construction staking services.
